Back from Vacation and Back to Murder in Barrowmaze (Session 122)

SESSION 122: Getting the Band Back Together  (21Sept20)

Eleven days later the girls return with an impossible amount of treasure, improbable tales and even more imbecilic murderhobos. “Have a frog ya’ dinks” heckled out Saff while absent mindedly creating a ribbit and then tossing it under foot of Bunny and her ‘New and Improved Mod Squad’. Never one to let mischief fall by the wayside she flew off to draw obscene things on Sloths oversized dome.

Now that we had reunited, Bunny introduced her new hobo crew. Sloth and Saff both took great pleasure in meeting the Blue Fart Yasser. Both for different reasons, Sloth because he is simple and Saff because she like a good joke. With this new influx of loot and bodies the accommodations were getting tight. The adjacent barrack was rented to house the hobo horde and their treasure mountain. A few days later it was decided that a group would head back to Barrowmaze to take care of those damned cultists once and for all. It won’t work out that way but it sounded like a good plan, kill bad guys get loot.

Back through the swamp, down into the tomb via the harpy hole and back to the vicinity of the necro-lab. Next was a chamber that appeared to be a temple for a god ooze or pudding.

Nope, not interested at all. Let’s get out of here.

Moving along we bashed down a wall and found a magnificent shield and some elaborate rhytons. Ding-We had a strong sense of where he felt the followers of Orcus had their base. This brought the hobos to an octagonal chamber with eight doors and a large bronze statue of a minotaur with an equally large battle axe.

Nope, this thing is going to come to life. Let’s get out of here.

And for the second time today the hobos backed tracked. This time to a corridor that housed all sorts of vile garbage. When backtracking from the end of this area the hobos ran afoul of a heavy assault Orcus patrol. This guys were packing trolls! This fight got messy and in the end yet another patrol boss escaped to most likely warn his comrades (stinking commie cultists) that murderhobos were coming.

Cleaning up and preparing for the next move Ding-We suggested that the unholy symbols adorning the dead cultists should be collected. We would be returning to the minotaur chamber.
