Ka-Bluey! (Session 337)

SESSION 337: Return to the Dome IV: Hop on Board the Loser Cruiser – Death Comes Cheap!

Part A - Nope, the Wilds ain’t all that safe. Death occurs in the Wilds.

Part B - Damage control and setting up for new exploration season

Day 846 Continued (16.22 0406/0505/0506): The easy job of looking for lairs around a cyclops clan continued smoothly after planting the relocation bug in Flim-Flams pea brain. You would think that with only one eye there would be more available brain for other nothings but nope. The cyclopeans are lunks. With three more square miles checked the gang returned to base camp.

Day 847 (16.22 campàCyclopesà0408/0606: Clear. To begin the day Bimbles felt he could once more petition his astrological lords and masters for insight. He waddled out of camp and drew a circle, plopped down and then connected with a higher plane.

Three questions were asked and three simple answer were given.

1)    The demon in the dome was doing whatever it wanted

2)    The same demon could be negotiated with

3)    That cold ‘box’ below the Dwarven tomb was “dangerous”

The high cleric stood, dusted himself off and then walked towards a waiting megadungeon explorer, “Well, hereis the scoop…”. Raul offered, “Hmmm that was a kinda useful endevour. What do ya want to do next?”. “Get the cyclopes to move along”. “Sure why not? What could go wrong? We can deal with the demon anytime, right?”. “All those things..”. After a quick first lunch the gang made their way back to the Fokker clan lair.

Story short, they successfully convinced the giants to vacate the premises. Merv, the boss, said they would be gone in two cycles. This was acceptable. The gang went south to clear a couple more sub-hexes before returning to camp.

Trouble was coming but they did not see it.

Day 848 (16.22 0607): Clear. Bimbles, never one to want to hike too much ordered the camp to be relocated four or so miles to the south to make hexploration less tedious. This took a good chunk of the day limiting lair searching to a single sub-hex. No lairs were found but a wandering basilisk was narrowly avoided. A portent in respect to dithering through the wilds? Likely.

Day 849 (16.22 0606/0507/0605/0704): Morning rain. The leadership duo still did not want to deal with the demon. Let us wander through the wilds further!

The day would be lair free but there was certainly no shortage of wanderers considering the Green Dome Zone – a veritable hotbed of monstrous evil. Anyways it started with another batch of giant hornets. Only a half dozen this time and the hobos were not flat footed easy victory. Keep creeping around. Out of the ‘blue’ the trees above their heads exploded as a bolt of electricity shot through a bunch of our hobos. Herbert blew up.

Big trouble.

A blue dragon, not huge but certainly irritated. It circled back and unleashed another blast. The dumb dumbs just watched. Zap! Bimbles glowed a bright white for a moment before collapsing in a smoking heap. Two down… oh wait. Raul wobbled a bit and then fell down, clearly not a Weeble. Three dead hobos before a counterstrike – yikes. All was not lost. The dragon was a juvenile (less than twenty feet) and not as potent nor tactical as an adult specimen. This obviously didn’t stop it from killing the team leaders but it did undermine really getting the job done. After two passes it should have realized that further fatalities would take some work especially after a volley of well-placed missile fire from the hobos. The fight in all reality was simply quick and brutal. Willy found the perfect shot, with Agolloch’s blessing, to bring the creature down. Three dead hobos (and a mole) and a shattered draconian. There was a mountain of coin and jewelry retrieved from the carcass but it was a high price to pay.

With the leadership team taking a dirt nap Camillus and Sasha took the reins and sent Nara back to camp to retrieve the squad. They were either taking the loot or the bodies without some help. Nara activated her cloak, transforming into a massive pair of bat-like wings and then she was gone. Returning with the mooks shortly after nightfall. The overnight was thankfully uneventful.

Day 850 (16.22 0704àSafety): How can we make this excursion better you ask. Well, the answer is more wandering baddies. The blue theme seems to be persisting. A giant and his pack dire wolves. Twenty feet tall with blueish tinged skin and wispy cloud-like hair, it was a cloud giant about 120 yards out. It really should have been somewhere else but this region just seems to be a magnet (I’m sure I suggested that before..). Oh ya, he was also in a foul mood to boot.

Camillus ordered the footman to retreat with the corpses and treasure. Nara activated an inertial barrier which would prove to be lifesaving versus the incoming boulder barrage. The giant would not figure things out in a timely manner thus likely preventing the death of the rest of Hobo Team ‘C’. The wolves circled the coward huddle which may actually have been to the gangs advantage limiting themselves from being overrun and taken to the ground. When cloudy did catch on to the hobos defence rather than retreating with a mostly obliterated wolf pack it charged in. An easy target presenting a free cycle of attacks before it would reach the melee. A bad tactical choice it got a single swing of its sword, that Camillus deflected like a boss, before succumbing to a litany of injuries.

Once the squad was found and recalled they collected another mountain of coins before everyone went hard for their basecamp in the relatively safe homelands.

Destination Caravanserai.

The C (clearing)-Team was: Bimbles, Raul, Camillus, Sasha, Willy, Herbert, Skullcrusher, Nara & Azucar

àBonus buggering aboutß

Day 851 – 855 (Caravanserai): Mason’s pleasant spiritual endeavours came to a quick end as the company and corpses showed up. Over the next two and a half days he administers the most potent of his restorative abilities bringing both Bimbles and Herbert back from death while providing a rather relaxing pillow for Raul. The trio would be spending some time bed ridden. Ding-We was around but mostly busy doing some spell research. He did find enough time to suggest that Rhags should be recalled to lead the next hobo team iteration. This ‘new’ team would start clearing the old road hexes connecting Liwil to Dry Gulch once Rhagnar sobered up.

A few days later Team ‘R’ (roadwork) set out for Liwil by way of Gormandia: Rhagnar, Camillus, Skull-Crusher, Wendul, Willy, Nara, Sasha, Azucar and everyone’s number one buddy Felix!

Smell you farts later.

Day 857 (Dry Gulch): Somewhat ahead in the time continuum other things were happening. With fifteen of so days to kill Carla and Boris sent a team over to Lord Thyber’s tower to take up the exploration and babysitting consideration. At the tower they met Grandeal the Grey one of the Archimage’s two most promising apprentices. The young apprentice would ready himself and the group would enter the forgotten passages on the following morn.

Day 858 (Dry Gulch): The new undercity ‘U’ exploration team assembled at the Tower of Wizardry shortly after breakfast. Down a set of spiral stairs they descended from the tower above: Biff, BoB, Dolec, Katre, Charles, Chung-Li, Gord and Grandeal. Reaching the bottom of the stairwell they found themselves in a circular chamber approximately 40’ in diameter. Five doors were set into the wall; two lead to service tunnels, two to the laboratory wings of the area, and the fifth, an iron door set into the south wall. ”That is the one we will be taking it leads to a more dangerous region where we will find adventure and hopefully useful alchemical components”, calmy stated the young wizardling.  Grandeal walked to the iron door, whispered something and then stepped back. A moment later there was an audible ‘ka-chunk’ and the door swung open revealing an ancient corridor that extended into unknown darkness. “Here we go again”, came from Charles as he lit his lantern and stepped forward. “Yup”, came from Dolec as he joined.

Is this hex a monster magnet, for some unknown reason?

Will the One-eyes clan actually move out and should we have suggested a preferred direction?

What about the demon especially now that we know it is free-range?

What evil lurks down the forgotten passage?

Is there really an ‘undercity’ down here?

What happens If the gang fail to protect the squishy little wizard?

Tale of the Tape

Young dragons can be really brutish now Bimbles, Herbert (along with Harry) and Raul are dead, well Raul is actually only mostly dead. I look forward to the item saves & the Death and Dismemberment table.

Buzz Off (Session 336)

SESSION 336: Yeow that Stings!, Murderers meet Murder

Day 843 Continued (Old CampàNew Camp 15.22): Bimbles has now strangely begun to think like our peg-legged wizard. He ordered the base camp to moved south so they could better clear the hex. Raul and Sasha took a couple of the guards to find just the right spot.

Day 844 (New Camp 15.22à16.22 0405/0305/0206/0205): Cloudy. They started the day with a visit to the cyclops. Aside from the goats and grapes it appeared no one was in. They, easily, cleared the adjacent sub-hexes of lairs and things. Yes, it was very easy. It seems nothing wants to live near a twenty foot goliath, something to do with filling its belly I would guess.

Day 845 (Campà16.22 0306/0407): Clear. Things were going well until they sighted the (a?) cyclops on the far side of the Kirkikit river and attempted to get its attention. Racing towards the river bank and shouting did not get the big goober’s attention but did rile a nest of giant hornets. As the goliath lumbered along we were swarmed and it turned out to be a messy engagement. Fortunately it was hornets rather than wasps whom have a deadly poison versus just extremely painful.

The hive was awakened and absolutely inclined towards murder. Nara quickly activated an inertial barrier to protected the main group but this left the fragile scout team exposed. Herbert and Willy were immediately in trouble. The gnome was able to make a dash and then disappear into the underbrush. Wily was not so lucky, he activated Agolloch’s teleport ability with insufficient spatial awareness. He was free of his two hornets but was now sixty feet in the air and falling fast. He quaffed a potion and hoped the trees below would break his fall rather than his body. He bounced off  couple of trees before hitting the dirt. Amazingly only mostly dead, he went invisible and then passed out for the duration. The hornets moved their attention to the main group. Raul took the risk of activating his special belt, releasing chaos! It was helpful except that it affected their tank Camillus and she immediately took a swing at Bimbles.

Don’t worry little ones the tide did eventually change and our hobos gained the upper hand and then eradicated the nasty dog-sized blighters. The fight largely ruined the day other than the post battle looting. Not much beyond some gold teeth and an interesting black iron key, somewhere something is waiting to be opened. They limped back to camp.

Day 846 (Campà16.22): Clear. Today on their way deeper into the hex, for more clearing, they ran into their currently friendly cyclops acquaintance ‘Cyclopsy’, “Hey you guys!”. It seems that relations had maintained the giant was happy to talk. Bimbles and Raul told him that he had to move. He said he was not the boss and they really like the box canon. Flim-Flam was, along with Margot the ‘lady’ of the troupe. Raul tried some intimations of stuff to get Cyclopsy’s assistance but the brute was notably less sharp than our dummies Steve and Sloth. He did somehow negotiate the acquisition of the non-boulder and non-carcass materials in Cyclopsy’s sack. It ended with the giant continuing his return to the box canyon but also to petition his boss to comply with the hobos demand for vacating the premises. Our gang followed behind as best they could.

(Back) Into the Pit (Session 334)

SESSION 334: The Thing in the Pit REDUX

Run away. Regroup. Retry. Don’t be shocked if this is a rinse and repeat sorta thing.

Day 841 Continued II (Green Dome à15.22 0703): Bimbles do not like this not one bit, nope. When in doubt return to camp. And so they sunk back to base. Good news, Nara was there waiting for them. Bad news, they needed some further assistance. Message was sent via psychic power or something. Ding-We and Sloth would be coming tomorrow. He was all grumpy not because he was actually doing anything beyond porking stable girls but because he had to do something other than getting porked by stable girls. Ah, the burden of being rich and famous…

-->imagine a porked stable girl here, if stupid blogger played nice with my Mac... would have been.. something.

Day 842 (15.22 0703)Clear. Not much today. Dinger, Sloth and a bunch of troops show up they yell at Bimbles and Raul for not getting shit done and then leave. Tomorrow the dorks would take another run at the demonic thing in the basement.

Day 843 (15.22 0703à Green Domeà Camp): Clear. Against the Thing in the Basement part deux.

All sorts of preparations were enacted this time.

Big league magic enacted.

The bugger seemed not to have moved an inch in the last two days it continued to simply wait.

The gang approached the final steps before the precipice.

It spoke once more in its crawling across broken glass voice, “I told you I was hired to do a job and only my lunch break had spared you horrendous suffering. Well, I am now back on the clock”. Nara was the new variable that it was not ready for.

Ding-We had enlightened them to the intricacies of ‘Magic Jar’. Nara, the wild card, acted first using her mental powers to explode the demon’s gem. “What the fuck! Oh now I’m actually mad”, It then faded from the Prime Material plane. Around now the shenanigans began. The demon traversed the Ethereal plane to wallop the gang whom huddled inside a magic resistant shell. Unfortunately the protection also deactivated all magic within making our gang very easy targets for the demon’s attacks. The abomination was freely toying with the team. Bimbles saw the writing on the wall, “RUN AWAY!”. This time the demon pursued them to the second to last door before breaking down in it’s own form of sickening laughter, “You know where to find me meat… ha”.

Our hobos went ‘Wee wee wee’ all the way back to camp.

Still waiting for a challenge to earn my pay” --> yup would have been another dynamic image.. imagine imagine imagine.

The Thing in the Murder Pit (Session 330)

SESSION 330: The Thing in the Pit

Going deeper, that is where one finds answers but they come at a cost.

Day 841 Continued (Green Dome): There was one place left to go. The basement. The black pit. The hole in the structure where slag had burnt out the lower plane and then melted deep into the earth and where the Cthedrak had her thralls mining for some lost and perhaps not destroyed artifact. Where our companion Dolec Da had been liberated from. Now, it was the unexplored inky abyss. Would answers be found?

Regrouping our troop made their way down from the upper level and then to the winding stairwell to the lower floor and excavation area below. Once more Bimbles stopped before getting.. anywhere really. They had no plan. Down the steps they went to the count of ten. Oh! Bimbles remembered that they had caused more than a little destruction last they were here. He quickly stopped Camillus. The stairs beyond the tenth step no longer existed. A twenty foot drop would have been the next step. Shining his light down the cleric saw a shattered human body dressed in robes and a pointy hat now ruined by brain matter. “Hey, there is a dead wizard down there…and I cannot see anything beyond into the pit”. Raul quickly chirped some directions, “Take my rope of climbing and get down there we are getting cramped just standing in this stairwell”. The two tanks descended and Bimbles then shone his light into the pit. Nothing could be seen but a retching voice that slithered through broken glass filled their heads. “Mortals. Bother me not as I enjoy a mandated break period. Lunch will come to an end soon and I will return to my duties. Take your treasure. Be gone and hope never to face me. This conversation ends”. Bimbles tried to make reply but nothing returned but a deep sense of foreboding. They grabbed the dead mage and made retreat to the ground level.

Raul and Bimbles were at a loss and then they remembered they had a body to loot. Some stuff was found but most interestingly was a talisman.

A black stone, perfectly round and of absolute blackness somehow set, maybe floating, into a triangular piece of curious metal that had long extensions, perhaps handle like, coming from both base points. Herbert, a bit of a gemologist if he doesn’t say so himself, was completely perplexed by the stone in the set without bezel. “It has no mounting it is just there…and of a blackness more absolute than the most perfect onyx. Inconceivable..”. Raul was intrigued but time was not their ally, he wrapped the item and stowed it away. It was around now that Bimbles called for problem resolution.

New plan time.

Raul would under a cloak of invisibility, ocular super power (true seeing) and other protections would slink down from which previously came the vile voice. Sneaky, sneaky time for our little megadungeon explorer. Down into the basement he went. He came to the edge of the melted edge of the lower floor and looked into the abyss below. The abyss looked back at him. In one hand was a mighty battle axe. Affixed by heavy chain on the other arm dangled a huge ruby. That was the last thing he remembered.

Raul appeared next standing before Bimbles and Camillus clutching a wand to his chest.

KaBooom!

The whole group were consumed by a conflagration. Raul had a sickening grin on his scorched face. The rest of the team were completely demoralized, what the hell is going on!?!

KaBooom!

Raul set off another blast. Herbert and Willy ran with the last slivers of life within their bodies back upstairs.

Complete disarray.

“By CROM! You fool’s he’s possessed!”, screamed Skullcrusher. Being from the Dreamlands he knew a thing or two about evil spirits. Bimbles changed up his plan of trying to beat Raul into submission, “Camillus guard me. I must kick ass with the power of my Lord not my mace”. Camillus, ever the courageous warrior, stepped into Bizarro Raul. “By the power of Spinning Stars and Moons I compel you entity from the body of my companion!”, incanted the cleric. He was heard and answered a moment before a likely third and final fireball detonated. Raul collapsed to the ground. Camillus and Bimbles grabbed the now unconscious Raul and began dragging him away.

“RETREAT!!”

Once more they fled the green dome. Back into the forest a good half mile from the entrance before they stopped. Raul was conscious again but could only remember a prison full of red mist. Bimbles and Skullcrusher moved to attend to the many injuries.

What the Gehenna are we going to do?

The Confines of the Flesh (Session 329)

SESSION 329: Rotting Ways

This joint is really turning out to be a space-tomb

Day 840 Continued (16.23/0603): Bimbles made it a few steps before stopping, “Ah. I gotta  bad feelin’ about dis”. With that they did an about face and after a quick peak into the inky blackness of the stairs to the lower floor our brave hobos fell way back. About a third of a mile out the main door and into the forest. Here they setup their ‘Tiny Hut’, hunkered down and then the cleric called upon his deity for some divine guidance.

During his commune he asked three questions. The outcome of which left him with mixed feelings.

            1) Is a divine caster occupying the Green Dome? – NO.

            2) Has the naga arisen from death? – NO.

            3) Was the cyclops chaotically aligned? – YES.

Bimbles and Raul reflected awhile on this before calling it a day. Better luck tomorrow becoming a common refrain.

Day 841 (Green Dome): Clear. Back into the green dome. It was redo time. But wait! Bimbles once more slowed things down. Before returning to the naga’s chamber upstairs they would check the two side chambers that were previously the Orc camp and slave storage. First, the slave storage. It was still a room filled with garbage, dirty pallets and bedrolls

strewn throughout the room, for enslaved workers. Across the corridor and into the Orc quarters. This did not seem to be much different but memory doesn’t always serve. They rolled in to search the chamber and stirred up a nest exceptionally hostile flying, blood sucking, electrical googly-eyed tadpole things.

Bimbles, Azucar and Camillus were swarmed. The lightly protected elf-berserker was quickly in trouble with a pair of the things stuck on his neck. Don’t worry fearless readers the creatures were defeated just before we lost another elf. The room and monsters offered nothing in measure of pay or knowledge.

Now back up the stairs. Almost at the top were they. The smell was bad. As Bimbles was about to turn the final arc – Splooch. Yuck. He had stepped in a great mass of congealed and high oxidized bodily gunk. This was a lot of blood and perhaps other highly decomposed viscera. Oh and what a stink when his foot broke the ‘skin’ on the gunk. He was very close to turning around for a second time. Camillus gave him a shoulder pushing him up the last few steps. Their eyes came down on a portion of a human body. Missing from the chest up the opening sat at the edge of the top step. The gunk was obviously all the stuff that was inside this robust nearly half-man. The legs were armoured in metal and there was some plating around the portion.

They scanned the rest of the chamber. Nothing looked super different and nothing immediately tried to kill them they proceeded into the foul (smelling) chamber stirring up clouds of flies. The chamber was about 50’ deep and nearly as wide. Along the northern wall was a nest of branches, leaves and torn cloth a low desk containing and the naga’s corpse. They team made their way into the chamber. Cthedrak’s has for some time been just a husk as the insides had long since been cleared out by the cleanup crew whom now used her as a shell to nest in. Our vibrations roused more than just clouds of flies. Out burst a half dozen 9’ long, 3’ high, many-legged, segmented worm-like things with tentacle ringed mouths. “Ahhh carrion crawlers”, yelled Herbert as he darted to the side of the chamber behind Skullcrusher whom screamed “By Crom I will squish you like the bugs you are!”. “We actually call them ‘carcass crawlers’ for copy right reasons”, pointed out Willy not currently controlled by Agolloch as these insect-things were really uninteresting.

One-by-one hobos were paralyzed. Six of eight were down. Only Camillus and Bimbles were in the fight facing the last two crawlers…

With deep regret I must inform you that with the protection of heavy armor the two tanks were able to remove the final crawlers from the equation. After grabbing a breath Bimbles went about removing the paralytic condition from his companions he did not want to run into any more trouble. They finally got back to the work of searching the chamber. Raul was assigned the job of inspecting the carcass. He got himself a surprise.

(Shouldn’t have stuck your arm in a dead snake-bitch Raul, ya twit)

Cthedrak’s final gift was a host of rot grubs that were now burrowing into Raul’s arm making haste for his heart. Bimbles rushed to his aid and cleansed the mega-dungeon explorer with a cure disease – praise Spinning Moons & Stars! In the end a bunch of gems were retrieved from the guts of the carrion crawlers.

Back to work.

Next stop the basement.

Snow Day (Session 306)

SESSION 306: Playing in the Snow

Not quite ready to delve once more the hobos completed the clearing sub-hexes around the Statue Garden.

Day 271 (Base Campàclearing): It was a nice clear day providing excellent visibility through winter barren forest. Back on his foot Ding-We was possessed to get the core hex-clearing done before venturing back into the dungeon. Nothing new but there was a twist. They would move base camp into the hex and setup just outside the dwarven tomb after they finished clearing the hexes around the dungeon.

Day 272 (Base Campàclearing): Clear day of looking for lairs. Presence not detected. There was a strangely knowledgeable and speaking copper coloured squirrel. It seemed unoffended by the hobos work and divulged some valuable information regarding the blighted forest just to the east. In particular of the entity known as the Master, the dark force that was a beacon for the forces of chaos.

Day 273 (Base Campàclearing): Today the gang finished exploring the satellite sub-hexes leaving just the Stone garden dungeon to finish before claiming the hex ‘cleared’. They were rewarded with a hole full of giant scorpions. Sadly, only scorpions were lost in the conflict.

Day 274 (Base Campàclearingà15.23): With the good weather holding the garrison packed up things and the party relocated to immediately outside the tomb. This took most of the day limiting delve operations to resolving the loot collection backlog- hydra horde and pelt collection from the trolls. This was well received by the garrison as more pelts make for better camping and more coin makes all things better.

The day was quiet but that evening the rest was disturbed. Lights in the night. Humans at least five, adventurers perhaps.

“Hellooo! Is there space at the fire?”

Murder Empire Further Building (Session 183)

SESSION 183: Building an Empire – The Next Brick

Day 1 – clear (14.21 -07005; 15.22 – 03.07/ 03.06/ 0407/ 0408 camp): Esphael (the dryad) was home and talkative. For a 250 year old bird she was a knockout, no wonder men get lured so easily. Worry not though she was not working any charms, in fact she ended up presenting magic apples to assist with our hobo’s mission. She provided both more information regarding Fae assets along with connections to the Pallid Fields in the outlying hexes she also echoed Baldicar’s words that alliances between Man and the Fair Folk are often dangerous endeavours that end in strife – “Our peoples simply live at different tempos, what is important to man is but a blink of an eye for the fair folk and thus of greatly different importance”. With these thoughts and a bunch of apples the raiding and research party pushed on to the NE to begin clearing (15.22).

Day 2 – Violent rain and lightning (15.22 – 0608/0507/0608) The weather was on this day was miserable and exploration was greatly reduced to satisfy the Union’s safety rep – Ramrod, whom did nothing but complain about his bum leg constantly slipping in the muck.

Day 3 – Clear (15.22 – 0608/0707 à 16.23 – 03004) The storm rolled past over the evening period. The band continued through the rolling grassy hills along the eastern edge of the hex. They noticed a geological anomaly in the neighbouring hex and decided to check it out. It was a rocky box canyon. It was a lair but that tidbit was yet to be figured. The canyon was some forty feet across, about six hundred feet long and thirty feet deep. The walls of the canyon were peppered with overhangs and shallow caves, and the residents had built crude structures into these using rocks, boulders and scrub-brush. It was relatively well camouflaged from above and required entering the box canyon to notice the dwellings. By the time our gang realized there was a lair orcs were all over the place, as they kept a careful watch from a hidden cave at the mouth of the canyon. War was on. Hobos vs. the entirety of the Festering Sore Clan orcs outpost. They were a horde but we are the future rules of these lands. It was only a matter of time, the outpost was defeated and looted. They figured the joint would be a fine place to camp before returing to the task of clearing the adjacent hex. They were pretty happy as the orcs would have been a real problem for peasants and mercenaries.

Day 4 – Clear (16.23 – 03004 à 15.22 – 0806/ 0705/ 0606/ 0506/ 0406) This day as not so easy. Rhagnar fell into a pit of large centipedes causing a lot of unwanted burning. Rhags thought things were hot enough when he peed as it was. Next they discovered a fallen statue/ watchtower of some forgotten sorcerer king that housed a living rock thing that caused some mayhem with little reward beyond a nifty steel dagger.

Day 5 – Clear (15.22 – 0406/ 0505/ 0606) It as a pleasant Fall day and our gang bagged a lovely mule deer buck much to Biff’s satisfaction of once more having meat on the menu. A couple of hours later things were not so much fun as they discovered a basilisk nest shortly after stumbling upon three petrified miners. They initially thought about running and then remembered that clearing meant the eradication of hostiles. They did not have a concise plan and so the action was paused right after the entrance hole to the lair was webbed over.

Day 5 continued the mini session– Clear (15.22 – 0606) After much screwing around trying to find ways to kill the basilisks without risking petrification the numps realized that one must face their enemy to defeat it. Game on, yes after even more screwing around, the gang took on the four stony lizards. Things worked out pretty ideally as magicks were deployed with great tact and were followed by death dealing blades. In the end I failed to petrify more hobos and they successfully harvested another three gizzards towards the production of restorative salves.
