Time to Pay the Hobos (Session 94)

 SESSION 94: Treasure Madness (24JUN19)

Knee deep in the gore. We have broken and shattered the Necromancer’s of Set. We cleaned and healed up prior to our next step, back to the treasure horde. Alas, the buggers had absconded away with the chests only leaving behind the magnificent gold sarcophagus. There was arguing in respect to getting the gold deathbed out and the next move, there had already been arguing, there would be more arguing. Time moved like a salted slug.

We then backtracked to the Secret Shrine of Set ™. Opening the massive doors revealed a place of some seriously deep-fried evil. We entered and closed the doors behind us. The eyes of Set began to glow with demonic hatred and he spoke. “Blasphemers…I curse you as the most hated of Set for all time…Eternity of torture…Death comes for you…” The statue of Set then raised his staff, “Feel my wraith”. The two gigantic bronze jackals animated and leapt. Golems destroy those who defy the true lord of the underworld! Screw my brother he is a hack, father always hated me more! Golems are unrelenting things with often troublesome capabilities but two versus legion is tough odds.

After cleaning up we went on a loot extravaganza. More interestingly, we found some clues (see tale of the tape) that could move this operation along. After which we barred the doors to the shrine and then Bimbles called down the ultimate power of his deity to bring poor Hobo Steve back from the underworld. The ritual was involved and required a mountain of sacrifice to bring the divine might of the God of Spinning Stars to receive Bimble's petition. It worked, many treasured items that kept the hobos in business were consumed and the God of Spinning Stars was satisfied. Bimbles became a conduit for a vast divine power.

Steve returned to us fragile like a newborn, shedding his crispy exterior for fresh pink flesh that prevented his juices from oozing all over the place. Huzah!

Drunk on our success we pressed on after a secure rest period. Moving further east we looted, to much success, long forgotten tombs. It did not come without a price, Sloth’s fragile mind has succumbed to the horror of mummies. Yours, mine, anybody’s mummy! Our greed knows no bounds, we kept pressing on. We entered a large chamber after relentlessly looting all of the adjacent chambers. The guardians were not happy with our presence…
