 SESSION 78: Worshippers of the Snake God (16JUL18)

            We left our hole and entered the clerical pyramid to be assailed by water weirds and then interrupted a ritual of sacrifice to some long forgotten ophidian deity.

            Things worked out good as the resident snakes were deep in ceremony when we hit them with a sneak attack. Luck was on our side as the high cleric was quickly held its ceremonial dagger frozen above its target. The other snake clerics in attendance were dispatched before they could mount any real defense. The rescued serpent man was an ingrate - all humans are food! Just couldn’t get past its hate for all other races. It’s reward was death. We then had a problem with a will-o-the-wisp but beyond that we had free reign of the pyramid. We then settled into a storage room before our next step.
