SESSION 89: One Step Beyond (7JAN19)
Where there is smoke, there could be treasure or other horrible things. We definitely needed to see which it was. It was a blue wizard’s stronghold – Mr. Winky. He was a good natured fellow working on dimensional travel. He had all sorts of things, even a recharge lamp standard which we totally ignored, but we did have a nice dinner and a good rest…
The following morning, we left the Forgotten Valley to make the final push back into the wastes and the Bone Sorcerer and our gate back home in his basement. The pass was more of a passage through a wound that sundered the very mountains. Perhaps it had something to do with the thing in the fissure, we decided not to linger. It got us to the spidergoats much faster. Plugging along, the chasm ended and the wasteland was before us. First, we decided to plunder a fissure home to another spawn of Shub-Niggurath. It could have turned out very poorly, luckily Nara was outside… The wastes greeted us with burning sun, scouring sand and a scorpion rider ambush. Pushing on we finally returned to the Bone Sorcerer’s hole in the ground. Things appear to have been busy- tracks, blood and such. Working our way back to the lab, BS was in full battle gear and gleefully killing rotten yellow man hostages. He was a little shocked and dismayed to see us still alive (he was after all in the middle of some gleeful murdering) but once we revealed our goodies he became very interested. After some discussion and requests for more information pertaining to the mysterious Hastur/ Yellow King. BS gave us a copy of ‘My First Book of the Elder Gods’ and the harsh downer that we would have to indulge in the white lotus and partake in a spirit journey to get back home…SO, in a very not creepy way BS took us to his room. There he conducted a ritual and we smoked some lotus. We left our bodies behind moving across space, time and realities.
